The Week Before...

Hello and welcome back to another installment of “Biggest Loser Porn Star Edition”
This is the final week before I go down to Mickey’s in LA. We will see how my little project went. So far, the process has been a blast. It has given me a challenge that I have been enjoying. I also have an unwelcomed announcement. The official release of my serialized book has been moved to August 30th . I apologize for this, but was told that August 30th would be less rushed and would allow for a stronger release. Since I said July 30, I am going to leak a bit about the Butt Rocker, the Floor Waxer and the trashy day time talk show. This is for you boywriter.

Let’s start out with the quest for the porn body. Before I do so I want to define the mission. Originally I was going to do a solo scene simply to refresh my face so younger people would know who the hell I am. Younger people, this makes me sound like and old fart! When I turned in the picture and rightly was rejected, I saw something fun for the blog and a challenge. That being said, the challenge is for a studio or magazine to say yes for a shoot or solo scene. After this, we have won. I love challenges and process and saw this as a fun one. It has been unbelievably fun. I love going into the gym each day, pushing myself beyond what I would normally do. I love having the defined timeline which gets me in when I do not especially want to go. Like I said in an earlier blog, it reminds me of bodybuilding when I was in high school. Along with all of this, writing about it adds a great new facet to the process. Writing makes you think things through more deeply. Thinking through what you are doing and why you are doing it, brings on a much deeper involvement and enjoyment to the process. Evan suggested I post my workout strategy, which I will. I strongly suggest, as an addition to any work out or goal you have, write about the goal weekly. I have been interested in physical fitness and weightlifting for a long time and have tried many things. Writing about what I am doing is immensely helpful.

OK the work out strategy. I use a strategy that I find works best for me. Remember that we are all different, with different body types. When I was power lifting, I ate much more food and left two minutes or more in between sets. This is good for strength, but not shape. Now I leave a maximum of 45 seconds between sets. For each body part I do a giant set, a strip down set or a super set for at least one of the exercises. I strive to do two of these for each body part. A giant set is when you do a series of three exercises in sequence without rest for a body part. Example: Chest I would do a bench press, dumbbell press and a fly as one set. A strip down set means that you would take one exercise and start at 90% of your max, immediately strip down to 50% of your max and then strip down to 30% of your max. This equals one set. You can do this with any exercise. And lastly, a superset is a combination of two exercises in succession. The idea is you shock the muscle into growth, while burning fat through the sheer speed of the process. I have also stopped driving to the gym, instead riding my bike. It is good aerobic exercise and I think that by riding my bike to the gym, working out at a high intensity, then riding home, I gain a secondary fat burning benefit because for a couple of hours my body is in constant motion. I have placed an example chest work out below and will start posting different workouts each week. I suggest checking with a doctor before doing any workout, especially one of this intensity.

Chest:

Bench Press- 4 Sets of strip down
Incline press cable crossover super set 4 sets of 10-12
Flat bench fly 4 sets of 8-12
Any machine press for burn out 2 sets of 20

Now, for boywriter: I am letting out who the Butt Rocker and Floor Waxer are, as well as what the hell trashy day time talk shows have to do with anything. I will make this brief as not to give away too much. When I was 17, turning 18, I worked at a gas station from 4PM to Midnight. My boss was a Butt Rocker (see example picture). He had a biker jacket, a blond mullet and loved Slayer. He used to get me stoned in the cooler every night I worked. As a teenager this was a pretty sweet job. Every Thursday a guy would come in to wax the floors. For about a month my boss and I were trying to decide if this guy was a stoner. Finally I just asked him. What the hell was he going to do besides say yes or no, right? Well he said yes. We now had an addition to our circle of trust. That week my boss and I had been looking for something to fashion a pipe out of. I rummaged through the storage room and found a wrapping paper role about 3 feet long. Just like Macgyver, we grabbed a knife, some tin foil and an assortment of color pens and created what was to be known as the Tube of Power.

Thursday came around and the Floor Waxer showed up. We immediately grabbed him, took him in back and showed him this new invention. Needless to say the floors always looked like crap after this,
Well one night huddled in the back room talking about how we were going to save the world, my boss pipes up and tells me that he was watching one of those Jerry Springer type shows. They had these male dancers on and he said that they were no bigger than I was and that I should try it. The floor waxer thought that it was a great idea too. As some of you know, there are times in our lives when everything is a good idea and this was one of those times. This is where I will stop. Official release date of “Going out on Top”, August 30th.

  2. WHOOO HOOOOO!!!

AwwW... Cap'n so many things to say, sir.

First of all, thanks for the shout out!

    YOU ROCK THE BEST!!

Second, THANK YOU for FINALLY putting me out of my misery with that hilarious story! You definitely baited the hook with those references a while back and try as I might...and I did try, TRUST ME...I simply could NOT let it go! Butt-Rocker is still a phrase to be reckoned with!! : ))

**Now, of course, a replica of the Tube of Power must be created and placed in the shrine (in your honor) where additional homage will be paid regularly. ; )**

Third...You're right about writing. The process itself creates "pockets of now" where you simultaneously live/reflect/record moments. For a time, you actually stop, listen to yourself and feel. Deeply. It's a beautiful act of nurturing and honoring your inner self that enriches you in ways you can't even imagine. Writing, it's good for the soul!

    And last but not least...
    (since this ISN'T MY BLOG!!)
...you are looking FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC!! Seriously. Maverick 3.0 This project has created ridiculous amounts of positive energy for you, what you're doing, and your fans...both personally AND professionally. I'm particularly impressed with the internal work that's happening in light of the "external" perspective the initiated it.

    Gettin' all DEEP on us.

    Captain's got LAYERS!! HAHAHAHAHAA!!!

Clay, fan interaction - to this extent, isn't something that's done very often, so for that kind of access and sharing, let me say...THANK YOU. Your blog and pages have been excellent tools to reconnect with and I, for one, am VERY glad you did.

    Great stuff, sir....keep it up.

Now, BACK TO WORK! : ))

    B.

P.S. K.A. You're not gonna fake us out on the 30th and make us wait ANOTHER MONTH are you???? : P
